Dr. Michael Brant DeMaria is an integrative psychologist, poet, author, speaker and 4-time Grammy® nominee. He has over 33 years of experience helping to guide others on their life journeys. He is also a meditation/mindfulness/yoga teacher who integrates creativity (music, poetry, art, movement, etc.) in the healing process.
Michael's love of writing began in his teens when he found personal healing in journaling and writing poetry. A constant theme in Michael's writing, music, poetry and teaching is the role creativity, nature and spirituality play in the healing process.
Michael's life mission is helping wake people up to the incredible wonder, awe and mystery that lies in each moment, reversing the predominant paradigm of our egocentric culture towards a more heart-centered, soul-oriented approach to life. His approach towards helping connect people with the gift of their own first-person experience of the world in each moment, cultivates the natural presence, passion and purpose we were all born with.
He is the author of Horns and Halos (1992), Ever Flowing On: On Being and Becoming Oneself (2001), Moments: Healing Poems for the Journey Home (2008) and Peace Within: Clear Your Mind, Open Your Heart, Embrace Your Soul and Heal Your Life (2016). He is currently working on his second collection of poetry When All Is Lost: Finding Heart in the Dark due to be released in 2017. Michael also collaborated on the Grammy® winning album All About Bullies Big and Small.
